To stop that, we use a specific blend of quartz glass and some internal coatings. Think of it as a filter. It catches the nasty UV rays and that piercing blue light, but lets the warm, long-wave infrared slide right through. The result? A softer, warmer glow that focuses the heat on your skin, not your retinas. The heat and the housing We spend a lot of time getting the wattage just right. If you cram too much power into a tiny fixture without the right airflow, you’re going to warp the plastic or metal casing. Not a great look. We focus on how the filament emits heat so it pushes outward efficiently, keeping the fixture cool while you stay warm. A heads-up on installation These plug into your standard bathroom circuits, but there’s a little quirk you should know about: the “cold start.” High-power quartz lamps have lower resistance when they’re cold, which means they pull a big surge of power the moment you flip the switch. If you’re installing four or more of these on one circuit, make sure your breakers can handle that initial hit. Otherwise, you’ll be spending your morning resetting the electrical panel. Now, here is the trade-off. Because we’ve tuned these for a “soft light” spectrum, they take a few seconds longer to warm up than the heavy-duty lamps you’d see in a factory. But honestly?
