The Nitty-Gritty
It runs at 400V and 2500W, packing a lot of heat into a compact 300mm tube. That voltage choice means lower current on the line, so you get less voltage drop over distance. In plain terms: you can run longer cables without having to oversize the copper. And the heat comes fast. Really fast. You flip it on, and it hits full output within seconds. If your greenhouse runs on cycles—heat on demand, then off—that responsiveness is exactly what you want.
What It’s Made Of
The tube is quartz, filled with halogen, and we added a reflective coating to push more infrared energy forward. So the warmth goes where you point it—onto plants and floors—instead of spilling sideways. The base uses an R7s bi-pin connector built for high temperatures. It’s solid, resists vibration, and honestly, wiring it is about as straightforward as a regular lamp holder. But unlike ordinary fixtures, it can take the repeated heating and cooling that greenhouse gear goes through without blinking.
Where It Shines (And What To Watch For)
In greenhouse work, this heater is perfect for spot heating and frost protection in specific bays. The shortwave infrared cuts through foliage and warms surfaces directly, which helps cut down condensation and keeps micro-zones steady. A couple of practical notes: because it’s 2500W, you’ll want adequate airflow and proper mounting clearances. Make sure your circuit protection is sized right, and plan how the heat spreads so you don’t create hot spots on crops that are sensitive.
