The Inside Story: Halogen, Coating, and a Smart Connection
Inside, you’ve got a halogen-filled quartz tube. The halogen gas does a neat trick—it stops the filament from evaporating. It helps spread the radiant heat evenly and protects the tube from the environment, which prevents those nasty hot spots that can kill a heater. And the connection? It’s an R7s two-contact plug. It snaps in fast and stays rock-solid, even when things are vibrating. It’s a direct fit for standard R7s sockets, so swapping out a tube on the production line is a breeze—no rewiring needed.
